Proxy have been featured in Red Hot's top 100 for 2008! Who'd have thought that 2007 would be the year of climate change, celebrity perfumes and Lewis Hamilton? Red Pages did. They also think it's the year for Proxy's Debut Album 'Between Screens'...
Last year's Red Pages: Hot 100 predicted the top 100 up-and-coming celebrities likely to hit headlines in 2007. January brings the buzz/ Camden Barfly
17/01/08Evening. Thought we'd keep ya posted on what's afoot for Proxy in the first month of the year. Basically we're just prepping the 2nd single (almost done) but sounding amazing, all we have to now is the vocals and then it'll be ready to eat. Just trying to map a route of how we're gonna do the next single's tour schedule too... so think we're gonna hot up some towns we've not been to yet which is always exciting. Except in the case of Preston.
Got a nice big old gig at The Camden Barfly, which is fast becoming our spiritual home, on Friday 18th Jan. Should be a good 'un- think we'll debut some new tunes there, so bootleggers, be sure to pack your recording equipment.
As always, we shall keep you posted on anything really exciting or worth knowing.

11/12/07Bad news. Water Rats gig on 19 Dec has been cancelled for reasons beyond our control. I apologise to anyone who was planning on coming. We are doing everything we can to try and rearrange a different venue but it's not looking good this close to Xmas...
New News...
11/12/07Good Morning. Just thought I'd give y'all a little notice about the good ship Proxy's plans for the new year. We've decided that the second single will be a little belter of a tune by the name of "CLOWNS OF HELL". And it's an absolute tune by the way. That will be out in late Feb/Early March and will be out on download and 7"... nice. I'll let you know just as soon as we get a confirmed date. Can. Not. Wait.
Around the same time we plan to be on tour with our mates KEITH, who are an ace band but will probably try to have their wicked way with us.

22/11/07Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who bought Jetlag over the last few weeks, and anyone who came to any of the shows, and fuck you to those who did not. You'll get yours.
We'll be announcing plans for the next release in the next few days/weeks- we're not sure how it's gonna happen yet- may be another digital single, may be 7", may be an EP instead... either way we want it to be the John the Baptist to the Album's Jesus... we expect this virgin birth to happen in March or April- so jump on the badwagon now and Proxy'll make you fishers of men. You may think it's a little early to start making comparisons between Jesus Christ and Proxy. I don't- I've heard the album.

Proxy Rumblings
07/08/07We would like to announce plans to release our song Jet Lag as a single through Island Records exclusively as a download in early September! In other news we are taking part of the 'Monto' night at the Water Rats Theatre (Grays Inn Road, Kings Cross) on Aug 10th. We are also planning a tour of the UK for Sep/Oct time but will have to kept you posted for details. Lastly we are doing an interview and acoustic session for The Sun Online later this month which should be an experience...
Strings on Strangers and Footprints
06/08/07The Eclipse String Quartet is to play strings on the Proxy songs 'Strangers in a Fight' and 'Footprints' today. We are all very excited, but given our almost exclusive informal training we are a little nervous to be interacting with such mathematically musical minds. We will try to put them up on Myspace ASAP but the real results will be audibly evident on our full length debut album on Island sometime in 2008.

New deal with Island Records
16/06/07We are now happy to announce that last Friday 13th we signed a deal with Island Records! It's been a long time coming, in that the pipeline has been long and laborious, but nevertheless we are all extremely pleased and elated! This also means our first single Jet Lag will be out in the next couple of months but available for download only. We will keep you posted for any more rumblings.
Croydon gig cancelled BUT come to the Cherry Jam instead!
17/05/07Just to let you know that our show at the brief in Croydon tonight has been cancelled by the powers that be. Sincerest apologies from us little Proxies. However we have taken upon ourselves to invite you all to join us for an evening of Football and Music next Wednesday (23rd) for the Champions League final and a 'make up' gig at the Cherry Jam afterwards! The plan is we will be meeting at the Daniel Gooch on Porchester Road (near Royal Oak tube by the Westway) and then after pop along to the wonderful Cherry Jam to play a set. Two for one we say... Liverpool? Proxy!

Gigs-Review-Glastonbury-New Tunes
20/04/07Proxy would like to say thanks to everyone who came to our shows at the FLY on Friday and at Joshua Brooks in Manchester on Saturday. We were all really impressed with Manchester and it was wicked to meet so many cool people. We are currently booking gigs at an alarming rate and in June we have a mini-tour planned of the Carling Academy venues, including debut shows in places like York, Newcastle and Liverpool.
We were in Edinburgh last month, well we've been in touch with a lovely man named John-Paul Mason, who is the Edinburgh correspondent for FACT magazine and Is This Music, and he has written some words about our mini-album, Dawn Raid, which should be published this month...
Other news... there are rumours of a Glastonbury 2007 slot so watch this space! Oh and we will be putting up new songs on Myspace for your critical ear to hear.
